Ellen Middlebrook was the first born child of John and Ellen Middlebrook.

She was born ( according to transcriptions taken from the family bible in the 1940's) on October 31 1847.

She was a little hard to find in the 1847 census as for some reason yet to be known she was living with her maternal grandparents Benjamin and Ellen Farrer in Pontefract (along with a cousin - George).

Little is known of Ellen because sadly she died aged just 9 years on March 18 1857 in Knottingly, and was interred at All Saints Church Pontefract on the 23rd March 1857 .
